Magic Kingdom Tips and Secrets

Here are some tried and tested tips to help make your day at Magic Kindom even more enjoyable:

  • Research shows that Saturday is the busiest day and Wednesday is the quietist, but this will vary according to season etc.
  • If you need a stroller save time by going to the express stroller rental located just outside the entrance
  • If you need to get out of the park while the parade is going on (or need shelter while it is raining) go through the shops down the side of main street because they are all interconnected!
  • After the fireworks, use the resort monorail instead of the express monorail as everyone will be waiting for the express monorail and the TTC is the second stop of the resort monorail
  • Pick up the old fashioned wooden telephone mounted on the wall in the Market House on Main Street and you will hear people talking on a party line
  • (Children Only!!) Get to the park early and as it opens go straight to Tinkerbell's Treasures (on the left behind the castle) if you're the first one ask the cast member if you can wake up tinkerbell!
  • Head over to Tom Sawyer's Island and see if you can find Tom's paintbrushes if you do find one hand it into a cast member and you'll get a special prize
  • If you want to get wet sit in front on Splash Mountain, the people behind get off with a few splashes!
  • To keep up with the family theme you won't find alcohol anywhere in the park, not even in the restaurants
  • If you want a quiet view of the fireworks then head over to the Grand Floridian and sit on the steps outside Gasparilla Grill and Games by the boats
  • This is one amazing secret that Disney keeps under the Magic Kingdom. UTILIDORS - There is a network of tunnels under the park which allow cast members to get from one place to another. Please see the Utilidors option from the main menu above (parks -> magic kingdom -> utilidors) to get more information including the map!
