Where to Stay
Deciding where to stay is an important factor in planning your holiday.
There are 2 main options: On Site or Off Site
On Site
There are many benefits to staying at WDW including:
- Immersing yourself in the magic 24/7
- Free transport (Buses, Boats and Monorails) - thus getting to theme parks is easier and cheaper
- The resorts are all finished to an extremely high standard and all have their unique theme
- You are always going to have a great experience, the Disney staff are excellent
- "Key To The World Card" - Ability to pay for goods all around WDW and charge it to your room
- Merchandise delivery to your room
- Disney information TV channels
- Ability to purchase the Disney Dining Plan and ability to book 90 "+10" when making ADRs
- Free transport from airport to hotel and back - Magical Express
- Ability to have priority booking on tee times
- Ability to buy "magic your way" tickets
But there are some (not many) disadvantages the biggest being staying onsite will generally be more expensive.
Off Site
There are some advantages to staying offsite:
- The main advantage is the cost - staying offsite will generally be cheaper
- Lots and lots of rooms therefore you can get a large range at the last minute
- Easier to get to/from other non-disney attractions
- Some hotels offer a shuttle to the parks
If you decide to stay off-site then make sure you research the place you are going to stay at well as the quality differs from resort to resort.
What do we recommend?
We recommend staying onsite as you can always be certain that the quality and service is going to be impeccable. Disney offers a wide range of hotels to suite all budgets, so everyone can enjoy the magic 24/7!
